Neil Eisenberger, PLA, ASLA, is a Principal at Kanopi Gap and an award-winning landscape architect with more than 30 years of experience shaping parks, greenways, streetscapes, campuses, and public spaces. His work is grounded in the belief that thoughtful planning and landscape architecture can connect people, strengthen communities, and create lasting value. Working at the intersection of landscape architecture, strategic planning, mobility, community engagement, and implementation, Neil helps clients transform ambitious ideas into meaningful, achievable projects.

Neil has played a leadership role in many of the St. Louis region’s most significant public-realm and connectivity initiatives. His work includes multiple segments of Great Rivers Greenway’s Brickline Greenway, Pillars of the Valley, St. Vincent Greenway, Katherine Ward Burg Garden, Tower Grove East Stream Restoration, and the Shaw Park Livable Community Plan. Across these efforts, he brings together municipalities, agencies, institutions, community organizations, and multidisciplinary teams to build consensus, establish priorities, and move complex projects from vision through implementation.

An active advocate for landscape architecture and the role of public space in building stronger communities, Neil regularly contributes to public presentations, stakeholder workshops, professional discussions, and educational programs focused on parks, greenways, mobility, placemaking, and community-centered design. He earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, where he served on the Professional Advisory Board. Neil is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, is CLARB Certified, and is registered as a landscape architect in multiple states.

While deeply connected to St. Louis, Neil brings a global perspective developed through work across five continents and more than 17 countries. At Kanopi Gap, he draws upon that breadth of experience to uncover opportunities within complex places—bringing together strategic thinking, meaningful engagement, and thoughtful design to create enduring places that connect people and strengthen communities.
